I saw it back in 2005. It thought it was pretty good. I need to see it again.

William Marshall came to my middle school in the late 80s. It was a small, private school and all of us went to see him act in a play one night. The next day Marshall came to school and signed all of our ticket stubs and shook our hands. He seemed very nice, but I had no idea who he was because I'd never seen Blacula. Most of the kids knew him from Pee Wee's Playhouse, but I never watched that show either.

Yep, I enjoyed it. It's such a joy to see old time horror when it's combined with a really offbeat setting like that.

I like it and own it, I also liked its sequel Scream Blackula Scream...I love all things exploitation, enjoy blaxploitation, especially 70's blaxploitation horror. The clunky but entertaining Blackenstein, also Ganja And Hess, Sugar Hill, Abby, JD's Revenge, Poor Pretty Eddie, Dr Black And Mr Hyde, The Thing with Two Heads(was fittingly released on a double-feature DVD with The Incredible Two Headed Transplant). Not sure if it's considered blaxploitation but House On Skull Mountain is a lot of fun.

And of course the unforgettable micro-budget cheese-fest from 1984- The Black Devil Doll From Hell.
