NEW YORK — Jennifer Aniston says the haircut she inspired in the mid-1990s wasn't worth the following it built.

The 41-year-old former star of "Friends" says in the February issue of Allure magazine that "The Rachel" was not her best look.

She says: "How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen."

Aniston wore the style on the show's first and second season, and it quickly caught on at salons across America. It was named for her character, Rachel Green.

Aniston's longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan came up with "The Rachel." He still works with her today.

It wasn't that bad. Of course Jennifer would probably look good bald.

I had the "Rachel" cut when I was in high school. Of course, it didn't look nearly as good on me as it did on Jen. :lol: I have to admit that whatever the length or style, she's got some AWESOME hair. :cool:

I think it's nicer looking than some styles, like the French poodle perm that Nancy Stafford got while doing Matlock or Pam Dawber's on Mork & Mindy. And like Aniston, those two were able to pull off an "iffy" style MUCH better than one might expect! lol

Then again, in the case of Nancy Stafford and Pam Dawber - that WAS the 80s. Enough said!! :eek: :lol:

Is it bad for me to say that this is my favorite look for her?
