Does anybody remember a documentary show, about troubled former childhood stars from the 1950's all the way to the '80's maybe the '90's. There were a dozen or so of them a round table style discussion/support group type thing. Paul Peterson must have organized it. Patty Duke was there, I think Lauren Chapin from Father Knows Best, if I remember correctly, Shirley Temple was involved too.

With the upcoming Shout! Factory release of the '60's series Dennis the Menace, I was wondering if Jay North was involved in this.

I remember back in 1990 a special similar to what you're talking about airing on NBC. Around Feb 1990, I think? I could be a different one though. Paul Petersen is an advocate for Child Stars so maybe he could have something to do with it.

I love how people throw politics into every interaction they have. Truly amazing.

I'm pretty sure the special is Child Stars: Their Story. A&E and the Bio Channel re-airs it every once in a while.

I remember this special, too. It was very interesting and I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
