The 10 year anniversary is coming upon us. I remember a bunch of us members from the board participated in live chat discussions while Nick At Nite aired a marathon of episodes for a particular night along with special guest stars. I was working night shift so I wasn't home to watch but had the VCR running and was on the internet while at work. I remember TJ (board administrator) saying "I'd love it if I had a job where I could surf the internet all night during work". LOL. It almost made me feel a little guilty that I was doing it in the first place but I felt like I had to be a part of history.

All right you guys, post any cool memories about that particular week of 80's flashback that you remember. Even if you didn't see it but know of any shows that aired, talk about that. You can also discuss the major transformation NAN has made since then. All friendly comments are welcome whether you saw the week long even or not.

My favorite show from the marathon: 227. NAN picked the best eps with the special guest stars to headline the event. Pee wee Herman and the Family Fued eps along with the Wheel of Fortune ep are a few of my faves.

I was in eighth grade and my favorite memory was definitely being introduced to "The Facts of Life" for the first time. I've loved the show ever since!!

I remember being excited about NAN showing the episode ("No Substitutions") of "Square Pegs" with Bill Murray. I don't think TV Land ever showed that one.

This is what I'm talking about. Although you weren't board members, you still remember something significant about Nick's "Revenge of the 80's". I was going through multilple, stressful situations at the time. Watching the event and chatting about it live with others was such a way of escape for me. I loved it. I will never forget that. I am grateful to TJ for setting up the live chat and to the others that participated.

I remember them showing "ALF"--was the first time I saw since it went off NBC.

I remember watching Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life (actually that's how I "discovered" FOL). Also, thanks to N@N and watching all those shows is how I discovered SO. I sure miss those days, it doesn't seem that long ago :(

I don't watch N@N anymore, haven't watched in years actually. I watch TVL sometimes but not as much as I used to. I get my classic TV fix from DVD's nowadays.

I remember this, every night was a marathon of a different 80s sitcom. ALF, 227, The Facts of Life, Diff'rent Strokes, Silver Spooons and Square Pegs all aired. I actually taped and still have the episodes of 227 and Silver Spoons. Believe it or not, I was on these boards back then.

Has it really been 10 years? I remember being excited about the ALF marathon. It was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid and I hadn't seen the show since it went off the air. For some reason it never aired in syndication in my area. I taped all the episodes N@N aired and I still have the tape. I also remember watching Silver Spoons, Square Pegs and Diff'rent Strokes. IIRC, they aired some of those shows every now and then for a few months, but it was always the same episodes they aired during the Revenge of the 80's week.

I was introduced to the facts of life thanks to N@N, and now, thanks to the dvds, I watch FOL all the time. I hardly watch N@N (which I think has sort of gone downhill in the last decade) or tvland anymore.

I was fortunate enough to see the revenge of the 80's marathon but started watching N@N heavily in 2002 when the Summer Marathons started

I was watching my Revenge of the 80's Diff'rent Strokes Marathon last Sunday when I started this topic. NAN picked the best eps with celebrities which I thought was pretty good. Like some of you, I hadn't been watching as much NAN or TV LAND as I used to. I'm watching Archie Bunker's Place eps I taped from TV LAND in 2003 and Head of the class episodes from NAN in 2003. It just reminded me of how great these two channels were before they got "all modernized".
