I wonder why Dianne Ladd was STILL credited in that episode, it seems more fitting that Celia Westin should have been, it was her first episode.

View Full Version : Jolene's first episode Frump 01-14-2011, 10:10 AM I wonder why Dianne Ladd was STILL credited in that episode, it seems more fitting that Celia Westin should have been, it was her first episode. ThomasE 01-16-2011, 02:07 PM Because Diane Ladd was still a cast member of the show. She was on one scene during that episode. She did her goodbye over the phone and then that was it. Joelene was a guest star but then credited next show. Frump 01-16-2011, 03:13 PM Because Diane Ladd was still a cast member of the show. She was on one scene during that episode. Yeah, but it just SEEMED more like a "Jolene episode" than a "Belle episode" lol I just used to think it was strange that Belle was still like one of the MAIN cast members when all she was in the eppi was about 2 seconds on the phone. It almost seemed like the opening should have been done with Jolene, or maybe with BOTH. Doesn't matter if she appeared briefly or for the whole show. Suzanne Sommers for the same season was not appearing as much in Three's Company and Jenilee Harrision was appearing more than she was. Suzanne was still a main cast member so she appeared in the credits plus the producers would have had to have film a new opening without Sommers. Celia Weston was being introduced as the person that would take over. Once Diane Ladd was gone, then Weston would simply take her spot in the opening credits where Diane Ladd was billed. Simple and to the point without complications. Frump 01-17-2011, 05:01 AM To me, that would have seemed to be too much work. Diane Ladd was still a cast member. And the way I remembered this episode that we're discussing is, I thought it was the other way around, I thought that Jolene's LAST episode and Belle's first. I thought that Belle was in town and she called them on the phone to tell them she was coming to visit. I thought Jolene was gettng ready to leave and somehow Belle ended up being hired in her place. It's funyn how detailed we can remember things wrong lol :) As far as the 3s Company thing, I never really liked that either, how they KEPT Susane Sommers in the credits even though she was not in the episodes. The should have made an opening that included Cindy *I forget who plays her* |
