The season 7 DVD release has horrible video quality. does anyone know if the season 8 release will be better?

I actually didnt find season 7 to be bad at all. I have season 8 and it looks great! I can't wait for the final season!

The quality is much better on Season 8. The problem that existed in Season 7 has been fixed and it looks normal on the Season 8 set. No problems at all. It's too bad it had to happen with Season 7. Even though it's not that bad, the compression (or whatever it's called) issue made the video look a bit odd. Well, we're only 1 season away from completion. Then, hopefully, they will license out Season of ABP for the episode that deals with the passing of Edith.
