A few problems with that

1. Lisa was not a slut

2. Lisa was able to stay with Oliver, where as I don't even think Paris could fake staying with a guy for more than a night

3. Lisa could at least count to ten

Eva Gabor and Paris Hilton may be slightly related, but that in no way means that they could ever play the same part.

Two very good points. And also...

6. Lisa wasn't found in bed with every man within a ten mile radius

7. Lisa had an innocence to her, something in which will never be found in Paris Hilton.


And as for the movie with Bette Midler up for the role. I don't think I have ever heard anything about that. She would be better than Paris Hilton, but really its hard for me to see anyone else as playing Lisa Douglas. Same with the rest of the cast. They're all just irreplacable.

...I seem to recall CBS wanted to produce a "reality show" version of "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES", several years ago....those plans fell through, and the idea quietly disappeared. And so will this.
