I have been having some insomnia lately, and I've been catching the occasional "Three's Company" rerun on TVLand (or maybe Nick-at-Nite).
I don't know if it's my cloudy head, or something else, but I swear the theme song is different - specifically, a new singer. The man's voice is similar, but the woman's echo is different from my memory. And I've got a few musical bits of knowledge in my head, so that's what's making me question it.
Am I wrong? I know there were different versions, but different singers??
Help!

It's the same theme song, but they play it at a higher speed I think to get more commercials in.

There is definitely something different about it now than what I remember. The singers are definitely different.
Is this the original version? The guy singer here is the one I remember.

I'm not sure because I'm going from mostly the syndicated re-runs, but as I remember, it was in a little higher key during the "Roper" years, and a little lower during the "Furley" years. I also noticed that the music would get a slight remix in some of the later seasons, most notably changing from season 5 (the last to feature Suzanne in the opening credits) into season 6 (when a new montage was filmed, and Priscilla joined the cast.)
