The popular television crime show Criminal Minds will have its own spin off show premiering Wednesday, February 16. air at 10 p.m. / 9 p.m. Central time on CBS.
As a teaser, Forest Whitaker starred in an episode of the original Criminal Minds last season, when he worked along side Aaron Hotchner's team. Whitaker will star in Criminal Minds:
Suspect Behavior as Unit Chief Sam Cooper. He commands an elite team of the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU).
Starring along side Whitaker as his team of FBI profilers are:
- Janeane Garofao who will play Beth Griffith, who worked with the FBI's Threat Assessment Task Force before joining the BAU
- Matt Ryan as Mick Rawson, a former British Special Forces soldier who is an excellent marksman
- Michael Kelly will play John "Prophet" Sims, a former convict who is dedicated to making up for his "past sins"
- Beau Garrett will portray Gina LaSalle, whose expertise is "a cunning sense of perception"
- Kirsten Vangsness will cross over from the original series as Penelope Garcia, the computer brains who can find any one or any thing any where
