The Cape has a hero. That's taken care of. But the show still needs villains. Lots and lots of villains. The Cape is in need of so many villains, in fact, that it will even let you create one of them.

NBC has announced that fans of their new show can submit ideas for a villain that may appear on a future episode of the series. Anyone can submit a villain concept either via the show's Facebook page or directly on the NBC website. The contest will run from Jan. 6 until Jan. 28, 2011.

While fans can create pretty much any villain that they want, there are some Cape-specific guidelines:

No superpowers.
Give the villain an impressive ability. The Cape's villains tend to be strong fighters, vicious poisoners and expert chess players.
The villain needs a distinctive look. Preferably, this would be a look you'd expect in a comic book. Scales (pictured above), for example, has a skin condition that leaves him covered in scales.
Your villain needs a name. It should somehow refer to the villain's skills or appearance.

Otherwise, however, the sky is the limit on this. With many, many submissions likely, it's a safe bet that a more creative villain will win the prize of actually appearing on The Cape.

To enter, you need to submit your villain's name, along with a brief description of the evildoer and a sketch of his or her appearance.
