BREAKING NEWS ALERT! I said I would return when news warrented, In major and surprising lightning speed an agreement has been reached to bring Tribunes' Antenna TV & WGN America (Finally) to all Time Warner Cable NYC metro area subscribers beginning Tuesday, January 11, 2011!! Time Warner Cable serves Northern & Southern Manhattan, Staten Island, and Southeast Bergen County, NJ...bottom line if you have TWC in the metro area or NJ you will get the channels. Comcast is still scheduled to start carrying Antenna TV 2 weeks later on January 25.

WGN America has very little to offer, IMO. That channel has never been very interesting to me except for when they did classic TV nights for a couple of years. Not a big gain really unless you like WGN News or Chicago sports, lol.

In Queens, NY on TWC:

WGN, Channel 162
Antenna TV, Channel 166

NO HD for either, but besides select programming, it doesn't call for it.

Man! I haven't had WGN for almost four years. Since I moved back to New York in 2007, I haven't seen WGN. When I lived in Florida, I used to watch WGN 9. I grew up with that channel for YEARS! Whenever I would visit family here in NYC, I would be disappointed that I didn't have WGN. WGN began going down hill when channel 9 started covering up shows with others for those of us that lived in other places outside of Chicago. Then Channel 9 became WGN America for those outside of Chicago. I accept it and I need to get my cable back here in Queens so I can watch. Thanks for the info.
