Piers Morgan's First Guest: Oprah Winfrey

posted Jan 6th 2011

As promised, Piers Morgan has booked an extremely high-profile guest for the debut episode of his new CNN show: Oprah Winfrey.

Morgan previously mentioned that he wanted to book President Obama as his first guest. Hey, if he couldn't get the actual Commander in Chief, Oprah is essentially television's version of the same.

"No one can say that Oprah isn't a great get," Morgan told critics in Los Angeles this afternoon.

Entertainment Weekly reports. "It's ridiculous. She's one of two or three of the most brilliant gets in the world. She's a compelling interview. Everyone has interviewed Oprah over the years.

Is my interview as good as the ones that have been done before? She thought so. I guarantee you'll enjoy this one."

PIERS: So tell me, Oprah, just what have you been up to lately?
OPRAH: Well, I've just started a new cable network, and I'm going off broadcast television at the end of this season.
PIERS: (after a long pause) I see....well, thank you very much for an interesting interview!
OPRAH: My pleasure, Piers.
PIERS: And when we return, my exclusive interview with a CNN watercooler. It promises to be an interesting- and quenching- experience!

^^^^LOL! Oprah is about as interesting as watching paint dry or Paris Hilton.--I'll stick to watching the Graham Norton show,at least he often has a number of good guests, and is actually a good talk show host too.And as far as I know, to his credit, Graham has never has oprah on his show. And if I were Graham Norton I'd be proud of that.
