Roger: This adorable, alcoholic alien could support his own show without Fox having to expend a lot of extra man hours. This "American Dad" character has many different personas that he uses to integrate into human society, so MacFarlane could expand on these, adding all kinds of drunken delight to the Sunday night lineup on Fox.

I don't think I would. I like the character, but taken away from that setting he'd be a rough sell. Maybe if he moved in with the Cleveland Brown family or something...but then that'd be the Cleveland Show! ;)

I think it would be better if Roger saw his family again, something like "Alf SatAM".

No way. I don't think so. He is better of on American Dad because he needs a strong supporting cast and him going solo wouldn't work. Do we really Seth as the lead in another show? It would be like Brian and Stewie getting their own show when they have plenty of episodes about them. Roger would be hard to sell. Also he would be annoying every week and is best as a supporting player.

The thread is 2 years old, but either way it will end at some point

It'll likely be cancelled sooner simply from McFarlane getting bored with it than it will from low ratings. The ratings aren't wonderful but they are good enough. I just think that at eight years it's getting long in the tooth, much like FG is.

never been a huge fan of Roger - he gets more and more obnoxious with every appearance, and while I realize that this is the whole point of his character, it is wearing pretty thin and is just grating the nerves now.
