I am almost finished reading Ball of Fire and even though I had always known Desi had a fondness for the ladies, this book really emphasized it. And it just made me wonder this. I'm surprised that no woman ever popped out of the woodwork to say she had a baby by Desi. (or maybe that happened and I just didn't know).

Well, not to be crass, but Desi favored hookers mostly. Those ladies are usually very careful about getting pregnant, and even if they did, who really knew who the father could be?? This was back in the days before DNA testing. I've never heard of him having long-term affairs with any woman, it was mostly prostitutes.
