View Full Version : Cases you haven't seen? sdb4884 01-02-2011, 11:50 AM Any cases people have heard about on here but have actually never seen? bell83 01-02-2011, 02:37 PM I'm pretty sure I've never seen the Kathy Ford case. RobinW 01-02-2011, 03:39 PM The Jeffrey MacDonald segment is undoubtedly the most highly discussed UM case around here that I've never actually seen, but the case is so widely known that there's information about it everywhere. Still would love to watch the UM interpretation of it though. Never seen the infamous "chocolate as an aphrodisiac" segment either, but I'm not shedding any tears over it  MegtheEgg86 01-02-2011, 05:50 PM I've never seen the Terri Hoffman segment. SitcomsAreTheWay 01-02-2011, 06:05 PM I always find that cases in which I haven't seen I'm unable to pinpoint by name. It isn't until I actually see the case in order to determine that I haven't. golden um 01-02-2011, 07:32 PM I havenīt seen any of the "mythical" cases: the murder of Florida gun collector Todd McAffe; the search for conman Ed Barbara, and the segment UM made about the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. I refer to these cases as "mythical", because not even the most veteran/knowledgeable posters on the board have seen them even once, or, if they have seen them, it was only during their original airing and never again! WishfulDreamer 01-02-2011, 08:36 PM The Jeffrey MacDonald segment is undoubtedly the most highly discussed UM case around here that I've never actually seen, but the case is so widely known that there's information about it everywhere. Never seen the infamous "chocolate as an aphrodisiac" segment either, but I'm not shedding any tears over it  The MacDonald case is interesting to see, because they detail his side of the story and the prosecuting side with evidence and reenactments. One of my favorite moments is an interview with a man who claimed to have called the house that night-during the attack- as he was given the number for the wrong Dr. MacDonald and claims he spoke to a drugged out woman (and I believe he heard voices in the background). Stokely herself confirmed this phone call. While it doesn't prove MacDonald innocent, it adds to the mystery of the case. It's also intriguing to hear from the accused himself. I recommend watching the case, if you can find it. As for the chocolate case...watch it for the comedic gold :D I swear, I thought it was funny when I was really young and didn't understand all the innuendo that wasn't mentioned outright. It's even more hilarious today. Especially a warning from RS telling you not to go out and give someone aphrodisiacs without their consent! MegtheEgg86 01-02-2011, 08:48 PM Ed Barbara seems to be the most elusive segment ever. I haven't seen it, either. WishfulDreamer 01-02-2011, 08:52 PM Ed Barbara seems to be the most elusive segment ever. I haven't seen it, either. I've never heard of that one. With the exception of RobinW's post, I haven't seen any of these cases. And I thought I was a UM junkie  I guess many of them just weren't shown after originally airing. sdb4884 01-03-2011, 06:32 AM I've never heard of that one. With the exception of RobinW's post, I haven't seen any of these cases. And I thought I was a UM junkie  I guess many of them just weren't shown after originally airing. I haven't either. What about cases that I've seen (and probably a lot of people on here) that have been cut off, have people actually seen the full case? eg: CW Roddy case. Apostapler 01-03-2011, 09:07 AM I haven't seen the Cokeville School bomb Yeah right...like that wasn't shoved down our throats. ;) Haven't seen Ed Barbara or Kathy Ford. WishfulDreamer 01-03-2011, 05:25 PM I haven't either. What about cases that I've seen (and probably a lot of people on here) that have been cut off, have people actually seen the full case? eg: CW Roddy case. It's too bad you couldn't see the end of that one. Luckily Ms. Roddy survived and the end of the segment is somewhat happy as she watched her neighborhood improve and children able to play in a local park. Still no word on the guilty party, though. Zlatko 01-03-2011, 05:44 PM Funny enough, most of the cases I haven't seen are somewhat recent compared to other cases. Will Hendrick Damian Corrente Robert Arcieri Lila Buerattan and Moses Lall Cindy Song David Chase cocytus 01-03-2011, 08:21 PM I havenīt seen any of the "mythical" cases: the murder of Florida gun collector Todd McAffe; the search for conman Ed Barbara, and the segment UM made about the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. I refer to these cases as "mythical", because not even the most veteran/knowledgeable posters on the board have seen them even once, or, if they have seen them, it was only during their original airing and never again! Hmm...I've seen all of those segments, but again only once. 1) Todd McAffe was probably only shown twice as the case was resolved in a pretty short order (The maid he hired set him up to be robbed. She was tried and served time.) 2) Barbara (or Barbera) died while on the run, if I'm not mistaken. 3) The JonBenet Ramsey segment is so controversial and has so much potential for litigation that I doubt that it will ever be rebroadcast. EricWright 05-13-2011, 12:09 AM I read about David Chase segment and started searching for it with no luck. Searched online and found nothing. I do have that 16 disc dvd set that was floating around the internet. Any idea which dvd the David Chase segment was on? Case was originally shown on November 1, 1996. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Corky Kneivel 05-13-2011, 10:33 AM Funny enough, most of the cases I haven't seen are somewhat recent compared to other cases. But even that one I only watched maybe twice. justins5256 05-13-2011, 03:13 PM I still haven't seen the Todd Mcafee segment, aside from that brief clip that used to pop up in the season 2 era opening montage depicting someone (Mcafee?) raising a rifle. Who knows the backstory? Did Mcafee take a shot at his killers? |
