Has anyone noticed that:
A few separate abductors/murderers on UM segments drove pick-up trucks:
Angela Hammond's abductor
Tara Calico's abductor
Edward Harold Bell
Richard Church (Colleen Ritter's ex boyfriend)
Quite different creeps wore mustaches:
Angela Hammond's abductor
Oba Chandler
One of the Bowling Alley Murderers
Boston Rapist
Megan Curl murderer
Any other similarities between creeps shown on the show that you've noticed?

Given the fact that most killers seem to have menial jobs or are unemployed, owning a truck actually makes sense as it would give them a way to make money, haul their gear and have a place to sleep during their travels around the country.

I don't attribute that to anymore more then these crimes occurring in more rural areas; pickup trucks might be uncommon in urban areas and suburbs, but are much more common in rural areas.

Tons of UM cases occurred in the 80s; mustaches were common in the 80s.
If UM profiled new cases, you'd have more killers driving SUVs and with less facial hair (or at least mustache-less).

It also seems that most of the guiltiest-looking interviewees on UM who may have gotten away with murder had mustaches:
Paul Pollis
Chad Noe
Larry Gibson
Mark Nichols
Leonard Rizzo
Don Sherman
Stephen Marfeo
Tim McClure
Sheriff Joseph Wampler
Maybe the main reason I'm willing to give Jule Caylor the benefit of the doubt about killing his wife is because of his lack of facial hair

I learned never to go near a white van...

If I may paraphrase Peter Griffin of Family Guy fame: A mustache says to the world that you are poorly educated and more inclined to beat your children.

You must not live in an area where there are a lot of pickup trucks. I grew up in Texas and they are ubiquitous. There is nothing especially creepy about them.
I agree that the white utility van will always be creepy...

In L.A. you see all kinds of vehicles, so I don't give pickup trucks much notice. I do, however, 100% agree with SageSlowdive about the windowless white vans. Those I ALWAYS steer clear from. I believe these are mentioned in the Calico and Huisentruit segments. I will always call them "kidnapper" vans.

Yeah I'm not sure where it got that reputation but I too agree that they were labelled "kidnapper" vans. Something is always creepy about them I will say. Mustaches? Nah, it's like saying a goatee makes a killer. Don Dixon was clean shaven. Pick up trucks definitely not. Now the one that was described in the Angela Hammond segment definitely is a different story. But a normal one? No.

I call them child molester vans.
