Forget Cleveland. Things got hot in Malibu Saturday night when Valerie Bertinelli married her boyfriend of seven years, financial planner Tom Vitale, PEOPLE has learned.

"We're so happy!" the Hot in Cleveland star tells PEOPLE exclusively of the intimate wedding held at the couple's Malibu home.

Bertinelli, 50, and Vitale, 49, exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests, including Bertinelli's son Wolfie, 19, from her marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen, who also attended.

Bertinelli, a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, and Vitale met in 2004 and got engaged during a romantic vacation to Italy in March.
