There has been no word of this. Hopefully Shout! Factory will get the rights, because they finished MGM's Patty Duke Show and are almost finished Mr Ed. Green Acres is owned by the same company.

I know that this is bad, but I have honestly just given up waiting waiting for the release of the rest of the seasons. I have started just making my copies of the episodes.

I really hope it will happen but I doubt it. I'm going to just buy it all on itunes. Btw, anyone ever notice that the dvd's stopped coming out around the time Eddie Albert died? I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

I doubt it, I think it had to do more with MGM being bought out.

Yeah, I don't think it was coincidence that when Eddie Albert passed away we never saw another release. I gave up and bought a complete set from someone on ioffer. I've done this with about a dozen shows because I got sick of waiting for the studios to get off their a** and release my shows.

Oh how I wish we could see the remaining seasons on DVD instead of digital download. I email Shout Factory and Mill Creek all the time about picking up the rights to this show----they probably have my email address blocked by now, lol.

This is why DVD recorders were invented. I recorded this show amongst legions of others when TV Land showed it. Never understood the popularity of DVR recorders, they are only good for temporary recordings, will you have a DVR recording in 20 years? A DVD-R or for that matter a tape will always be available to you. DVR's are just too temporary to satisfy what I want.

Like Kasey says, I predict Shout! Factory will eventually get the rights, and put out a complete boxed set, like they did with Leave it To Beaver!

For the time being, all 6 seasons of "Green Acres" (that's a total of 170 episodes) are available free of charge (with commercials) on Hulu.com and they are full unedited episodes as originally aired (25-26 minutes in length).

I've waited and waited and finally given up on an official release so I went the bootleg route for the remaining seasons. I'm glad I did. If they ever decide to release seasons 4-6 I'll be happy to buy them and destroy my bootlegs but not until then.

I don't blame you. If FOX/MGM doesn't want people buying bootleg, then stop abandoning their dvd releases.

Announced today, FOX is re-releasing season 3. I don't really understand why, but I hope its this means seasons 4, 5 & 6 are coming next!!!!!!

I don't understand the reasoning behind this re-release either, unless someone was asleep at the switch and they meant to release Season 4, but come on! Season 3 was not plagued with edited episodes etc. so why not just resume at Season 4 which is what people are waiting on?

If this news means the remaining GA seasons are in the works then this could be the best year ever with the announcements of GA and Mama's Family!

The frustrating this about this is...there's no way of knowing if they have intentions of following up with releasing season 4. It would help if FOX could tell us exactly what's going on, so we could know if we had seasons 4-6 to look forward to!!

If they're going to do re-releases, I'd rather they re-release seasons 1 and 2 which each were put on 2 double sided discs. But seriously, where is season 4?????

Season 4 seriously NEEDS to be released! This is one show that doesn't have music issues so there's NO excuses for the studio. I know this show would sell well. I think they're just being lazy. I ended up buying seasons 4-6 bootleg but I would still love to own official releases.

I went to the Shout! Factory website to try and access their TV forums to ask them to put season four on dvd, but their forums seem to have disappeared. I remember they had a lot of problems with hackers getting into the forums and messing them up so I guess Shout! just removed them.

I'm waiting for an official release of S4 of Green Acres, either through a studio or through Shout! Factory.......

I've sent them numerous emails about seasons 4-6 and haven't gotten any replies. I've also snail mailed them about it...with no reply.

I seriously WANT these released officially...NOW!

I've also e-mailed Shout! Factory twice about taking control of"Green Acres" and releasing the final three seasons. Squeaky wheel gets the grease; if enough people make noise, maybe it'll happen. They did a wonderful, and swift, job releasing the final four seasons of "Hazel".

I sent Shout! a Facebook message about a complete series of Green Acres and if they would release it and they said this:

"If you see it, it won't be from us." :(

^However, they did say the same thing about FOL and look at it NO. I would like to own complete series of "Green Acres" as well as another want of yours, "Perfect Strangers".

But all the shows you just mentioned were Sony shows. Green Acres is not Sony. But I hope they can release it too.

"WKRP", "Hill Street Blues", "Bob Newhart", "Mister Ed", "Sgt. Bilko", "Welcome Back Kotter", "Two Guys and a Girl", "Cop Rock", and others are ones that immediately spring to mind. But I am sure there are more. "GA" will likely get released soon
