What was fans absoulte favorite season or seasons with Ron Howard as Opie?

I didn't care for Opie a whole lot when he was really little or in the color ones. I'd say either 63-64 or 64-65, probably the former.

Even though Ron Howard was a good child actor,and he was good in the part,some of my least favorite episodes are the ones that revolved around Opie.It was better when Opie just had a small part in an episode.So I really don't have a favorite Opie season.

Seasons 6 to 8

Ronny Howard didn't add a lot comedically to the show. He was in some funny scenes with some funny people. Barney the realtor showing Andy's house, Andy having multiple spaghetti dinners, Warren's first meeting with Opie & Aunt Bea in front Foley's.

I was not a big fan of Opie. His dopey description of Mr. McBeevee really ticked me off. And the episode where he started dating Thelma Lou was rather odd and would probably be deemed unacceptable by today's standards.
