To those of you who have seen the pilot(it's included on the season one DVD),AND the series, who do you think made a better Lew Marie? For me,it's a toss-up.Both men were great as Ann's father.

I forgot to add:In the pilot, the late Harold Gould was good as her father, and in the series, the late Lew Parker was equally as good, and sometimes a bit calmer -his was kind of like Bud Abbott-like to Ann and Don's Lou Costello-like characters. His father character was a bit more wry than the late Harold Gould.Oh,by the way,did the late Harold Gould make any OTHER appearances on "That Girl"?

Harold played two fathers in pilot shows that got picked up and but didn't play the father when the show was picked up for a season. Happy Days pilot of Love American Style and That Girl. I wonder how actors feel to not get the part they try out for.
