This was a good one from the latter part of first season, and VERY unusual-at least the opening scene was-99 actually pulled a gun on Max.It was later explained later on that the Chief had 99 keep an eye on Max.Now THAT's something you do-or did-NOT see very often.Anyway,it all worked out pretty well, and 99 later apologized, and she and the Chief explained it to Max,and Max and 99 were a team again, and went up against San Francisco /Chinatown detective Harry Hoo.Oh,by the way,2 questions :1)did Harry Hoo(Who,as it was listed in the closing credits),appear in ANY OTHER episodes of "Get Smart",or was this the only one? And 2)Was this episode a pilot for a series spinoff featuring Harry Hoo?

There is a 2nd season episode with Harry Hoo titled "Hoo Done It". I don't think there was ever an intention to spin off Harry Hoo into a series. Harry Hoo was a spoof of the Charlie Chan character, comedian Joey Forman played the role of Harry Hoo in Get Smart. Forman passed away in 1982.

He was in a ton of stuff and also did the asian character (Dragonman) in a Monkees episode "Monkee Chow Mein" which is pretty funny. In fact there is a lot of material in that Monkee episode reworked from an early season 1 ep "Diplomat's Daughter" which would make sense as they both were written by the same people.
