This was a really underated comedy in the late eighties. I sometimes even think it was better in showcasing Garry Shandling's humor than "The Larry Sanders Show" was. Through the entire show, Garry Shandling who plays himself, talks to the audience and makes fun of standard sitcom cliches, all the while starring in a show that in a way, is his life. It was one of the first show within a show concepts. I remember watching it on cable a couple years ago for the first time in over a decade and it was still funny as hell. If you ever get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it.

I watched it so much when I was younger, but I still don't know why I did, because today whenever I watch it, I feel like an idiot.

I remember the show vaguely. It aired on Showtime then on Fox for a while. I don't remember much about the show, but it did have a cool theme song!

I loved this show! I tried watching "Larry Sanders" but I still think this one was much better! My favorite episode was the one that Tom Petty was on! I'm glad to see that these are on DVD now! I'll definitely check them out!

I realize this is an old thread recently come back to life... But what was the talk about IGSS coming to syndication? Did anything ever come of that? I guess it won't matter in a couple weeks, since I have the complete DVD set on its way. Can't wait!
When we first got cable, way back when, Showtime came with the package, and this became my current favorite for a while. Haven't seen it in a LONG time.
