I always find that The Cabot Cove episodes on Murder, She wrote to be very comforting. Wherever I'm feeling ill or I'm having a bad day, I snuggle up on my sofa with a nice cup of tea and then skip through to my favorite cove episodes. Do any of you do this? ;)

Oh, my! I know exactly how you feel! In fact, I'd say that everything I'm a fan of has to be scenic and comforting or pretty to look at, in a way, or I can't be a fan, and MSW is no exception!
It is that very comforting aspect of Cabot Cove you speak of that really turned me into a fan. Those episodes dealing mostly with her home area like that have the atmosphere of a cozy old-fashioned British show, I think. And, needless to say, such an atmosphere is an ideal setting to bring out Landsbury's own innate warmth. She just oozes sweet lady, whom you could love, trust, and cuddle with!
Thanks for the thread! If you hadn't made it, I probably would have. Nice to know I'm not alone in my love for those particular cozy episodes. I just saw one about a week ago, in fact, called "Hit and Run Homicide" that is probably my most favorite episode so far, for these very reasons we've mentioned.

Several years ago my wife and I saw the Cabot Cove water front set at Universal.

I like them the most I think! When you watch so many in a row though it feels weird.. because everyone in town is a murderer!
