I just saw this ep for the first time, and i really liked it!

did anyone else notice that at first glance, the girl that gave Sam the gifts looked like Diane, inexplainably? After awhile, she didnt look like her too much anymore, but that first headshot was scary.

And the Cliff sub-plot was funny too, esp. when the news reporter comes on during "Its a Wonderful Life" saying Cliff was running down Boston's airport's runway with his cans.

:cheers: Oh my gosh, I thought the same thing! I thought maybe I was going crazy, that maybe my wishes for the Diane episodes caused me to see things. LOL That was creepy and scary. But I agree it did look like Diane at first glance.

didnt they play angel music or something? maybe it was supposed to be a "sign"(u know, that Sam was meant to be w/ Diane)

Maybe they did. I think that even though Shelley Long was gone, Diane stayed alive in the show. Like other posts have said, they made jokes at her expense, and maybe this was another reminder of Diane. A way to keep her in the show. And also, Sam was running off to buy a gift to get Rebecca in bed, maybe this was a "reminder" to Sam of his true love, Diane.

Yea i thought i was going crazy.. i had to take a double look when the episode came on. it looked alot like diane.. i was like wow, so maybe it was a sign.. i love cheers.. lol they shouldve been together at the end.. so ill just keep pretending they are.. because the last episode didnt close their relationship completely.. maybe after that plane she came back.. hmm.. ::lifts eyebrow:: okay guys.. dont ask.. lol byee!

LOL That picture is great, I think that was the episode where they ate to relieve their "sexual tensions"! I have to admit, Ted looks a little odd in that picture though.
