Did you like Rhoda better in small doses & a bit more neurotic on TMTMS or as a starring leading lady more confident on 'Rhoda?'

I liked her better as Mary's neurotic next door neighbor.

I missed best friends Mary and Rhoda together. Even though there were the occasional crossovers, it wasn't the same.

I liked her as Mary's confident, attractive next door neighbor that we as viewers got to see during her last two seasons on the show.

I liked her better on Mary Tyler Moore. I just personally think she was better with not just Mary, but the entire cast of TMTMS.

She was good on both, but MTM was never the same without her. They made a good duo, after Rhoda left it was like splitting up Lucy & Ethel, or the last season of Laverne & Shirley (when Shirley left). They never filled the role of Mary's best girlfriend.

They should have waited til MTM was over to give Rhoda her own show, like they did with Lou Grant. But, I guess since MTM was so hot at the time, they thought it best to strike while the iron was hot, so to speak.
