Leighton Meester Eyes "Gossip Girl" Exit

Can "Gossip Girl" go on without Blair? It may have to.
Leighton Meester is ready to leave The CW drama -- in two years.
Meester told E! Online she's sticking around, well, "because we're under contract." But, does that mean the series will end when the contracts are up? "I don't know," Meester said, "but I think there's that old saying about wanting to go out on top."
Meester, who can be seen in the upcoming Country Strong, said the show has been flexible with the stars and their movie projects.
The CW series peaked in ratings during its second season, sometimes bringing in more than 3.5 million viewers.
Now in its fourth season, the series barely cracks 2.0 million viewers.
