This was a very good black and white episode that showcased the late Fred Mac Murray's talents as a saxophone player-he played a mean sax in this one-in other words,he played well. And he was a standout part of Robbie's Band, whom everyone at first(Bub,Mike,Chip-even Steve, somewhat)wished they had played somewhere else besides the Douglas' kitchen. The ending was great.Question:Were there any other episodes where the late Fred Mac Murray's saxophone talents were displayed?

In one of the color episodes, Fred/Steve is on sax as the family plays Petula Clark's "Downtown." I can't remember though if Tina Cole did vocals for that as well, or if it was before she came on as Katie.
There is another color episode in which Chip loses his ability to play records at his party. Steve then goes on sax with the family to provide live music for the party. This went over really well. It was young Ernie's idea (incorrectly attributed in episode guides -- I have notified the indexer at TV.com).

In addition -- Steve/Fred performs a sax solo to "Downtown" for Charley's revue at his lodge. That was the color episode that featured Wm. Demarest in drag.
