Betty White has insisted that she was initially uninterested in taking a full-time role on Hot In Cleveland.

Speaking to Emmy magazine, the 88-year-old actress suggested that she was wary of joining the show's cast because of the time commitment that would be required.

"We did the pilot, and three weeks later it got picked up for ten shows," she said. "I never saw a quicker turnaround in my life."

The star continued: "They asked if I would do some more, and I explained that wasn't our deal. They kept going, 'What if you only had to work three days…'what if this, what if that?' They made so many concessions that I was embarrassed to keep saying no."

Hot In Cleveland returns for a second season on January 19 on TV Land.

It seems like she took the SNL hosting gig for the same reason. So many people wanted her to do it that she felt bad saying no.

I can totally understand at her age not wanting to do a full time gig, but, I am glad she did :D

I read that article in Emmy last week also. That is what it said. Per the article, it stated that she only has to work three days out of the week. I should think so. The Queen B deserves all the flexibility she can get.
