Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hits theaters on May 20, 2011 starring Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Richard Griffiths, and Geoffrey Rush.


The plot is about King George II (Richard Griffiths) sending Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) to search for the fountain of youth.

Captain Jack is back in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of Disney's Pirates franchise.



Though Keira Knightley's Elizabeth and Orlando Bloom's Will are nowhere to be found in this part, the franchise's most intriguing character, Johnny Depp's loopy Captain Jack Sparrow, returns.

In On Stranger Tides, Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz).




The teaser trailer has launched on Yahoo!.

I just can't get excited about another one of these. Tired. But the kids will probably want to go see it.

Right now for me it's just POTC. I love the ride and the movies. I just hope I can see OST in 2D because I don't care for 3D.

Capt. Barbossa looks creepy, with the white powder face. I'm not into reading spoilers so I wonder why Capt. Barbossa is in uniform and he is missing a leg. Honestly, I can't wait to see this movie. I've been a POTC fan since I was a kid and I was fascinated by the ride. I've been singing Yo,Ho,Yo,Ho A Pirates Life For Me for over 40 years.

Watch a Pair of New Clips From On Stranger Tides

The new POTC is opening this weekend at a million theaters around the world (in 3D to boot) and though we've been inundated with hype every which way we turn, for some reason we just can't get enough of Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and the new cast of On Stranger Tides.

The folks at Disney released on Tuesday two new short clips that we're sure have been cut down from longer featurettes that will be featured on the DVD/Blu-ray that will most likely be released in the fourth quarter of this year:

one on Blackbeard, mermaids and zombies, the other on the international cast.

I'm seeing it Saturday and in 2D. I have read reviews from fans who have seen it and all enjoyed the movie except one. Everyone seemed to love the mermaids.

So...it's Wednesday! What did everyone think??

I loved it. To me it was entertaining and fun. I love Capt. Jack and Capt. Barbossa. They are a great duo. Ian did great as Blackbeard even though Ian was too short for the part. I think Blackbeard was 6' 4". The mermaid's were cool.

I can't believe all the nitpicking from fans of the POTC movies. I just went to enjoy the movie and I did enjoy it. From me, 2 thumbs up!
