Do you turn off your computer overnight or leave it in the stand-by mode?

I put mine in the stand-by mode most of the time but turn it off completely about 2 times per week.

Same here. I do put it to sleep though during the day.

I shut mine down every night, especially if it wants to add updates.

I always shut mine down when I'm done using it, unless I know I'm going to go back online within a couple of hours. I even turn off the power strip.

I have a MacBook Pro, and they're pretty good about going into hibernation mode after they've been closed a certain amount of time. That said, I do tend to shut it down a few times a week.

I actually don't use my computer that much,so everytime I'm finished using it I turn it off.Plus it's a laptop,so I figure why keep it on.

We're required to turn our computers off at work at the end of the day.

It goes to hibernation mode when I close the lid, so no...never turn it off.
