We all know that there would be no show without Mary, but was there another cast member on the show that you feel if left, the show would hurt severly?

Ted(Ted Knight),Lou(Ed Asner) and probably Murray(Gavin Macleod) were just as important to the shows success as Mary.Had one of them left ,the show would have declined in qualty quite a bit.

And if I may add.As much as I've always liked her,had Mary Tyler Moore left the show,the show could have still lasted,because it had so many brilliant cast members and outstanding writing.The show would not have been as good of course.

In my opinion every one of them is irreplaceable.
