CBS Television City is a television production facility in Los Angeles owned by the CBS network. Many gameshows and sitcoms were videotaped there in the 70's including Norman Lear's shows. In !973 Norman Lear moved the headquarters of his company, Tandem Productions, to Metromedia Square, a movie and television production facility on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Starting in 1975 all of Lear's shows were vidoetaped at Metromedia Square.

...the series was taped at CBS Television City in Hollywood from 1970 through the 1974-'75 season (until a few years ago, the opening announcement that had been deleted from the original videotapes was restored in repeats and DVD releases- "From Television City in Hollywood...."), then production moved to "Metromedia Square" [KTTV's facilities] for the remainder of the series.

And, I believe Carroll O'Connor moved the final years of Archie Bunker's Place back to CBS.
