Much has been posted about what a horrible monster Ulysses appears to have been to his companions and their children-especially Judy Olive's son Alexander (who was known to have been horribly beaten and likely may have been killed by Ulysses but Ulysses refuses to divulge any knowledge of his son's fate or whereabouts even after having been imprisoned). However; there's one thread in this story that was quickly introduced then immediately dropped- Ulysses's sister. She came to Judy Olive's hospital to give birth and, while there ,helped him charm Judy to fill out an extremely detailed questionare which included her monthly cyles. Then, she (and her own baby) completely disappear from the story!
Anyone find it odd that she would have had her brother and not her child's father with her while giving birth? Was it ever mentioned who her child's father was? What motivation could she have had in encouraging a total stranger to fill out a form like that and was there any gain for her personally in helping to snare Judy into Ulysses's trap? :ohno: Did she help trap other unsuspecting women for Ulysses? Where did she (and her baby ) live if not in Ulysses's dwellings? Did she ever attempt to help or even have any kind of civil dialogue with Judy or any of the companions or children after she'd played her part of the entrapment/s? Most relevant of all, could Ulysses's sister possibly be an accessory or even an accomplice to Alexander's fate/whereabouts? This may be nothing but I can't help but think that the way the story was presented, it could have left out a major part of the puzzle by completely ignoring what Ulysses's sister role may have been in this whole scenario after she'd initially helped trap Judy. :confused:

And since it's likely that Roberson will probably never be a free man again, is there really any need expand the scope of this beyond the guilty party being arrested & convicted?

My only source for this info is from the segment itself. And if the sister helped participate in the abuse (and it doesn't sound as though she was entirely detached from the situation), she needs to be held accountable. More to the point, if the sister has any clue as to what became of Alexander, she needs to share that info so that's why there's a 'need to expand the scope of this beyond the ( main) guilty party'. I only hope the authorities actually considered what her role may have been in all this and questioned her instead of just presuming she was totally in the dark about everything.

Umm..I'm not able to locate a video online about the Roberson case nor am I able to find information about him on the UM web site.Do you have information about when the case aired on the program, OP? Or do you know of a location on online where I can view the segment?

I was under the impression that the woman was not his sister at all. I thought she was one of his "wives", the baby was his, and they lied to Judy about being brother and sister in order to lure her into a false sense of security.

It's possible that if Judy had been told from the beginning that the woman was not really Ulysses sister, but was in fact one of his polygamy wives, it may have been much more difficult for them to trick her into becoming part of their cult.

Not a bad hypothesis- except in the segment I saw on a site that rhymes with moo lube both Judy herself and an expert from Georgetown University clearly state that the woman (who is never herself named) is/was Ulysses's sister and not one of his companions. Of course, it's interesting that Judy had at first thought the woman was Ulysses's wife (of course, Ulysses at least used an alias in the hospital)but that the two of them emphatically stated that they were brother and sister (then) living together and that the baby was by someone else. It should be noted that the sister said was right there when Ulysses served Judy the suspect drink yet did nothing to try to discourage her from drinking it, knocking it out of Judy's hand, etc. Also, the Georgetown expert stated that Judy wasn't the only companion lured into Ulysses trap with the sister's help. It's unclear from the segment what role she may have played after the initial entrapments- much less where she moved to.
Again, I hope the authorities actually thoroughly looked at whether she may have been an accessory and/or accomplice in Alexander's disappearance/death instead of just dismissing that possibility without investigating it.
