No I did not go either.I think that Black Friday thing is beyond stupid.Have some folks become such sheep that their willing to stand in line for hours, go into some big crowded store--just to save a few bucks.Absurd and unbelievable.

I normally don't go at all, but I made an exception this year to seek out some DVD box sets -- I had wanted to get some yard work done but the windchill factor was 9 degrees F! Too cold for me.

I went much later than the opening times to avoid the mad rushes. Worked out OK -- I found the stuff I wanted anyway. No waiting in line at all for me, even at the checkouts. I'm fortunate that there's a lot of retail in my area and I have a good feel for where & when it won't be crowded.

I had to work it. No choice -- I have set days off (Saturdays/Sundays off).

I didn't, but Amazon had some decent Black Friday sales that I took advantage of.

I didn't go. I usually do, but while I missed the bargains this year I certainly did not miss the crowds and the craziness!

No. If I go shopping on Black Friday at all its in the afternoon when almost everybody's gone.

Last year I went to Target the day after Black Friday and noticed that they still had a bunch of new release DVD's priced at 7.99 and under. I thought that was a great deal so I went home to check Amazon and saw that they had the same deals, so that's what I did this year instead of going to any stores. Amazon had (and I believe still has) the movie The Blind Side on sale for $3.99 so I bought 2 copies to give as gifts. There were plenty more deals like that as well.

It's convenient that online retailers are competing with stores because you don't have to fight the crowds to get some deals.
