*Ellen was originally called These Friends of Mine

*The Weber Show was originally called Cursed

*Too Close for Comfort wound up changing its name to The Ted Knight Show

*Two Guys & a Girl was originally called the less generic Two Guys, a Girl, & a Pizza Place

*Parker Lewis Can't Lose suddenly changed its name to simply Parker Lewis towards the end of its run

*Even though it ultimately wasn't used, Married With Children used the working title Not the Cosbys.

*Unhappily Ever After was originally going to be called Not a Cheap Rip Off of Married With Children

*The Norm Show shortened its name to Norm for its second season

*Even though it's technically a spin off, Saved By the Bell started out as the Disney Channel show Good Morning Miss Bliss

*If I'm not mistaken, All In the Family changed its name to Archie Bunker's Place in a quick transistion sort of phase

The Hogan Family is a classic example.

From 'Valerie' to 'Valerie's Family' to 'The Hogan Family'!

Another example includes Still the Beaver becoming The New Leave it to Beaver. And just like Two Guys & a Girl, Almost Home was originally called the less generic (regardless of how bizzare it sounds at first glance) The Torkelsons. On other occasions, there have been moments in which the name of a show was changed after the star left it. For example, The Andy Griffth Show changed its name to (if I remember correctly) Mayberry RDF.

The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry RFD are really 2 different shows. It was a continuation series, not necessarily just a name change.

Seinfeld was originally called 'The Sienfeld Chronicles'.
