I am seeking anyone who may be able to recall the following case with a little information that I can remember about it. I have looked at many different sites with no luck.

It was a homicide case, from an early episode I believe, so it must have taken place in the late 80s to early 90s. All I can remember is that there was a witness in the area, the scene was a wooded, forest region. The witness stated that he had seen a single car driving up a narrow dirt road. Two or three gunshots were heard, and then minutes later, the witness saw the same lone car driving back down the dirt lane past his house.

Later, the murder victim was discovered in the area where the gunshots had been heard the night before.

I remember seeing this segment on Lifetime many years ago, and it has been bugging me trying to find information on this case. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like Andy Cook, who killed Grant Hendrickson and Regina Cartagena at a lake in Georgia:

I am also having trouble remembering a segment and need some help. I don't remember a whole lot about the segment as I was a kid when it aired but I remember a man and woman awaken to see a man in their bedroom holding a gun and I want to say he was drinking a beer as well. Anyway the husband got up to fight him off but he was shot and I think killed in the process. Does anyone remember this case?

Yeah, I forgot all about that one. This was from UM's middle years though, I think I saw it in early '97 for the first time. The OP could be referring to another case that isn't coming to me at the moment, though.
