Dont get me wrong I dig 1 and 4 as well.

All of the seasons were great.And every single episode from each season was very good.Unlike almost every other outstanding tv show,Leave It to Beaver did not have even one weak or poor episode.

Hard for me to respond in the case of Leave It To Beaver

As far as Beaver goes, I enjoy him most when he's younger, and with Larry Mondello, but with Wally, he's funnier when he's older, bordering on adulthood, and the trouble he gets into (or the trouble Eddie or Lumpy get him into :lol:)

My favorites are the fourth (1960-61) season and the fifth (1961-62) season. Both Beaver and Wally get out on their own more and it seems there are more activities involving Eddie & Lumpy. Interestingly, at least to me, in the sixth and last season (1962-63), it seems the dialogue wasn't as natural (such as the feeling of saying that was funny in the past, so say it again). Also, in that final season, Jerry Mathers seemed to be at an awkward or in-between age (he was 14 years old) as the Beaver.

I agree, that Beaver or Jerry Mathers seemed at an awkward stage towards the end. Like alot of sit-com kids, they didn't want to let him grow up!
