View Full Version : My aunt has cancer
MrCleveland 11-18-2010, 11:49 PM I was at my parents house today (not fun) and when I went to church again, I heard that my aunt has cancer. I don't know what kind and I'm not a man who can pray right now since he feels that his life has NO purpose.
I don't know if she's going to make it....
Retro4Life 11-18-2010, 11:56 PM I'm certainly sorry to hear about your aunt. Here's wishing all the best for her, and you.

Marvo301 11-19-2010, 01:54 AM You and your aunt are both in my prayers.
There's always hope, man. I've seen tons of people beat cancer, and so can your aunt. My prayers go out to you and your aunt.

ponytail 11-19-2010, 06:09 AM I too have had people in my left with cancer and they are now survivers. Cancer is beatable. She has cancer, but cancer doesn't have her. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
Janice 11-19-2010, 07:19 PM I'm sorry to hear this. It's the uncertainty of it all. Your aunt is in my prayers.
MrCleveland 11-20-2010, 09:42 AM Thanks for your prayers and concerns...this year really sucked for me because of my parents, and with my aunt who I rarely see has cancer...the suck gets bigger!
2011...come fast!
OH Nuts! 11-20-2010, 01:12 PM Really sorry to hear about your aunt MrCleaveland and the uncertainty and stress of it all. But as others have said, many beat cancer and go on to live long productive lives. You're both in my thoughts.
MrCleveland 11-20-2010, 06:30 PM The business that my dad has had may abruptly end because his insurance crapped-out on him.
I don't know if I should go to my parents house this Thanksgiving and Christmas.:(

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling that way. You do have a purpose. Many people here, (myself included) think you are a very good person with a big heart. You've put a smile on my face from your kindness many many times. You're a good person among a world with few, and that's one of your purposes, and I know in time, that if you keep the Faith, you will find that you have many more purposes as well. God reveals things to us on His time, not ours. Remember, a million years to us, is only a day to God. We don't always get the answers when we want them, but we will eventually get them, if we trust in God, who is unable to lie. These aren't my words either, these are God's words. Stay true to all of His promises, have Faith and hope, and you will be blessed in time. That's God's guarantee to us. The longer it takes, the sweeter it will be when you finally get there, believe me, I know. It took 30 years, but this morning, God showed me that I do have a purpose, and He told me what it was. 30 YEARS!!! But He kept His promise to me, and He will to you too. God Bless you my friend! I just said a prayer for you, and will keep them coming. Hang in there, and have a great weekend!
MrCleveland 12-10-2011, 09:35 AM My aunt went to University Hospital yesterday, she was going in for radiation treatments...but collapsed when entering the building. She's weak and now her vitals are down, she's at University Hospital.
I'm seeing my family on Christmas Eve...my job can wait on midnight of Christmas Day!
Family Ties Forever! 12-10-2011, 07:24 PM I'm sorry to hear that she's not doing well. I hope things get better for her.
