I was just watching a Spike version of UM that I taped a few days ago. It was a rerun shown on lifetime. In the Dennis Depue segment, I was wondering if anyone else noticed that during the update for this segment, it shows that Depue was watching his case profiled on UM. It showed his tv as he was packing up to flee knowing the cops would be on him soon. The segment shown on the tv is being narrated by Robert Stack. I half expected that Spike would have either edited this segment or somehow dubbed their version onto the screen, or at least used Farina's narrative. Obviously this isn't really important in any way, but I thought it was kind of funny. Anyone else notice this?

Yep, I noticed that. The UM people must have missed it, or else they would have slapped some cheezy graphics onto it, overpowered it with loud electric guitar screeches, tweaked the color into unnatural hues, and then added nausea inducing visual effects.
There was a segment this week that I could barely watch. It might have been the one about Leah Roberts. They messed with the visual effects, making the actor's head seem bigger, then smaller, and sort of roiloing like a heat wave mirage. I don't know what the heck they were doing, but it made me have motion sickness.
And I'm a roller coaster freak who does not get sick from stuff like that. The segment was so overpowering with those kinds of visual effects that I had to look away during those scenes to stop the sea sickness.

Yeah I noticed that too, I would have been enraged further if they changed it in any way.

That was the best part IMO because it played a brief snippet of the old school music..and of course because we got to hear Bobby Stack's voice too.
