I hope someone can help. I'm trying to uninstall AVG from my computer but it won't uninstall no matter what I do. It's the link scanner that I can get to install.

Anyone have any ideas of what I can do?

Do you have an add/remove choice under control panel? That's the only thing i can think of. I don't know much about computers.

Yeah I can't get it remove from there either. Says something about AVG wtch dwg not having permission to remove it or words to that effect. I can't uninstall it from my firefox addons either.

you may need to uninstall it in Safemode logged in as an administrator

to get into Safemode: http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

download the AVG remover tool from Grisoft (AVG) http://www.avg.com/us-en/download-tools (use either the 32-bit or 64-bit depending on which version of windows you are using)

if you are running Vista or 7 make sure you right-click the file and choose "Run as Administrator"

if that doesn't work try it again in safemode
