Select one tv series from each decade you wish could get released on DVD the most

Mine:

1950's Burns & Allen
1960's Dennis the Menace
1970's Eight is Enough
1980's Mama's Family (from the original masters)
1990's The Golden Palace
2000's That 80's Show

Now that Dennis the Menace has since be announced for a dvd release, I'm selecting another show for the'60's

Batman the complete series is available on ioffer. Episodes are uncut, transfers are from original studio masters. Video quality isn't at the level of an official studio release, but it's more than adequate.

1980's - Alice
1990's - Evening Shade
2000's - The Steve Harvey Show

Evening Shade was a very underrated series and one of the BEST
ensemble comedies EVER! What a terrific cast! I have a few eps on VHS,
and watching them still cracks me up. The writing and acting were top notch.

I was taking my cue from another post in saying that I would like to see the original Star Trek on DVD, without having done research as to whether it was already out there. Having watched the most recent Star Trek movie on Netflix last weekend, I was inspired to check Amazon.com. Imagine my surprise, it is on there LOL! That being the case, I will say I would love to see Laugh-in--also already posted--from the 60's. Still nothing comes to mind from the other decades that hasn't been mentioned--I would also like One Day at a Time, Evening Shade, and Cold Case.

I think some are confused with the topic of this thread. I was curious what shows from each decade you would like to see get released on dvd, THAT HAVEN'T been released. I guess it makes sense to choose shows that got 1 season released (like One Day at a Time), then got abandoned, however.

Re Reading the Thread, I see you pick the TV Series you wish to see on DVD, therefore those that are already available don't count. Seeing this here's my list.

1950s Lassie (Some episodes are on DVD, but this comprises less than 5% of this series!):(

1960s Batman (What Else?)

1970s Lou Grant

1980s The Wonder Years

1990s The Promised Land

2000s Cold Case

2010s :rotflmao:

VCRs have been around since the 80s so any show since I recorded myself and I don't have to rely on someone releasing it on DVD. So while all the morons pine for shows like WKRP & Wonder Years to come out intact, which will never happen in a million years, I'm enjoying my uncut copies from network runs.

Ben you're a very smart man....Are you telling me that you've recorded all of your favorite shows back in the 80's. Wow how lucky you are. My family also had a VCR durning that period...and we couldn't even set the clock  ....Only if I had the sense to do the same....But I always thought, there will alway be reruns...SO I THOUGHT. I Recently bought the entire season of Knots Landing online (Bootleg I guess..Not sure)...But anyway when I recieved it...The entire 14 Seasons was recorded from soapnet....A channel I get on Direct Tv...I had no idea that soapnet was reairing Knot's Landing....I didn't even know there was a soapnet....After all these days you have so many channels you can't watch them all, Especially when you're work all the time...But anyway to make a long story short....I paid a pretty good penny for the entire season when I could have recorded it myself on soapnet for free.....What a bummer. :(

Look at it this way - it saved you a ton of time and editing out the commercials. Someone else did all of the work for you. Of course, they are going to be cut but unless you recorded them yourself for 14 years, there's no other way you could get them.

Not finished: I Love Lucy (remaining seasons on Blu-ray)

60s:
Not released: Nothing
Not finished: Petticoat Junction (seasons 4-7)
