The amazing Shohreh Aghdashloo ("24", "FlashForward") will pop up on an upcoming episode (titled "Dirty") of "Law & Order: SVU".

Shohreh, who won an Emmy for the 2008 HBO mini-series House of Saddam and was nominated for an Oscar for 2003's House of Sand and Fog, will play Sunny Qadar, an employee of the Brooklyn DA's office.

According to sources, Mariska Hargitay, a perennial Emmy nominee, met Shohreh at last year's Emmys and the thesps hit it off so well that "SVU" executive producer Neal Baer invited her to guest star on the show.

I love her. She really is a brilliant actress. Her performance in House of Sand and Fog really made her career in the states take off. She should have won the Oscar. Renee Zellweger only won because the Academy felt it was "her time." All of the other actresses in the category were far more deserving than Renee.
