Sony/CBSOne woman's amazing feat of word game mastery on Friday's episode of "Wheel of Fortune" left audiences amazed -- and maybe a little suspicious.

Contestant Caitlin Burke somehow managed to solve a 27-letter, 7-word puzzle with only the letter "L" and an apostrophe to go on. Not only that, but the actual phrase she solved (which you can try to figure out for yourself in the video below) applies perfectly to her situation:

As you can see, Burke's win netted her not just a Caribbean vacation worth about $6500, but the awe of a flabbergasted Pat Sajak, who feigned suspicion (or at least bewilderment) as Caitlin casually brushed off the accomplishment.

While it's not unusual for a contestant to solve a puzzle with only one letter as a clue, it usually happens with a much shorter sentence or phrase. And while Caitlin had the benefit of ruling out the letter "R," eliminated by a previous wheel-spinner, her triumph is incredible enough to have some wondering if she could have found a way to cheat. The simplest explanation, of course, is that she's just that good. (Or that lucky.)

When a "Wheel of Fortune" video goes viral, as Burke's "epic win" is today, it's usually not for a stunning victory. It's more likely to happen when a contestant or contestants fail spectacularly, as these three guys did back in January, missing their first five chances to pronounce the phrase "Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa" correctly.

I saw that episode...and both Pat and Vanna gave their contributes to Charlie O'Donnel too....

I also saw the episode,and the ending,too,when Pat and Vanna gave a loving tribute to the late Charlie O'Donnell.It was NOT-I repeat-NOT RIGGED-SHE DID NOT CHEAT-(Some people will think otherwise,however).It was just luck -and good luck,too-on her part.

On HLN Prime News,Today,they had Catlin Burke herself on the show at the very end,and she said to the host the reason WHY she did it-and she said that with everyone else hitting bankrupt,she didn't want to risk her wild card,and the money she had accumulated in that round.Oh,by the way,I do believe she won the bonus round-a car and $5000-as well.

Glad she had such great luck - she deserved it!

And on HLN's "Showbiz Tonight",she appeared with Jeannie Moost and said that she knew the answer before the puzzle was even put up.,As I've said before,the show was NOT rigged-I'm sure the producers know better than that-it's illegal,and I'm sure the producers know that-and to those among you who think it was rigged,she said she wouldn't even know how to rig a game show,and she was on CBS'"The Early Show",this morning,they tested her,and she did NOT know the puzzle,and she has said she has watched "Jeopardy"and "Wheel of Fortune"since she was real young.It was just pure luck.

i'm sure it wasn't by any means a fluke. i'd have to watch it again because that was amazing. wow, she's very smart! :)

Kinda reminds me of Peter Griffin from Family Guy solving the W.O.F. puzzle with just one letter :lol: (Or maybe it was no letters? LOL). Good for her, though.

I saw the ep, just for the Charlie O. tribute. Wonder if any one-letter wins occurred during the Woolery-Stafford period.

Good for her. I saw her on one of the morning shows, and she seems like a real nice gal. I'm happy for her.

My Nanna and I were watching this Friday night on a whim and both of us were shocked :lol: She's obviously a very smart gal ;)
