hi, i have a couple of items that i am looking for and thought maybe those that are into war movies and series could help. here is what i am looking for:

1. don't know name of movie, but i remember the following scene(s). there is a main character (white man, american) who has the assistance of an oriental man like a guide through some rugged terrain (forest). the oriental man gets dysentery. the next morning the white man finds the oriental man sitting in a river in a chair with the bottom out and has died.

2. another war movie is set in the pacific during ww2. some allies forces are on a hill with oriental (japs) coming upo behind them. the americans cover themselves up in their foxholes and the oriental soldiers thought they had moved on. so the US troops were then behind the oriental troops going up the mountain. the movie ends with a US soldier radios (he speaks japanese) in an air strike of the oriental soldiers planes on their own men. so the jap planes kill their own men.

hi, i saw movie number 1 on tv around the mid to late 1970s. the american actor was lee marvin or an actor with a similar build.

i saw movie number 2 around the late 1960s to very early 1970s. can't remember any names, just the scenes i mentioned.
