Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are engaged, according to E! Online.

The 28-year-old Grammy-winning singer met Cibrian, 37, last year on the set of their made-for-TV movie Northern Lights. At the time, Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian was married to Brandi Glanville, with whom he has two children.

Rimes and Sheremet separated in September 2009 following reports of her extramarital relationship with Cibrian. The divorce was finalized in December and she moved in with Cibrian, who divorced Glanville shortly thereafter.

"What happened is not who I am, period," Rimes recently said of how their affair played out. "But I do know how much I love him. So I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."

Call me a pessimistic, but I don't see this lasting. Those that cheat with you will eventually cheat on you!! Thank God Julianne Morris broke up with him before accepting his ring!!

I also have my doubts about it lasting. Eddie's ex-wife, Brandi, seems to be handling it well so far. I hope everything works out for her.

I used to have a lot of respect for LeAnn back in the day. That went right out the window when she cheated on her hubby. God help her.

I'm not a fan of cheaters, but congrats anyhoo.

Eddie Cibrian dated his Y&R co-star, Julianne Morris, for a couple of years - and I found this info in a feature Soap Opera Digest did on Ms. Morris in 1998 when she joined the cast of Days of Our Lives:

LeAnn Rimes says that she and boyfriend Eddie Cibrian are not engaged.

"I'm not engaged period," the singer tweeted on Friday. "Eddie and I felt we couldn't let this rumor go on any longer."




On Thursday, the day after their first television interview as a couple aired on ABC, E! Online reported that the 28-year-old Grammy winner had become engaged to Cibrian.

Their relationship has been tabloid fodder ever since they met on the set of their Lifetime TV movie Northern Lights. At the time, Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian was married to Brandi Glanville, with whom he has two children.




"Thanks to all of our wonderful fans for the premature congrats," Rimes tweeted, "But for now, let's all be happy we're happy and still and will remain together!"

LeAnn Rimes says this time it's "for real": She and Eddie Cibrian are engaged.

"Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays," Rimes tweeted Monday. "That's the news. It's for real this time and the first time EVER!"

Oh, really?

I'm afraid not, Miss Rimes... what happened is, indeed, exactly who you are.

When a has-been and some C-list celebrity get engaged, who cares? Especially after they've been shacking up for more than a year anyway after throwing their spouses overboard!

E! online probably had it right in November. She simply denied it because she wanted to make the "announcement" herself.
