Hot in Cleveland revolves around three fabulous L.A. women of a certain age who are best friends (Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick). Their lives are changed forever when their plane - headed to Paris for a girls-only celebration - unexpectedly lands in Cleveland and they soon rediscover themselves in a new 'promised land'. Loving their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and battling the sassy caretaker (Betty White) of the property they have rented.
TV Land's hit (and Hot!) new comedy series made big news this past summer with its sudden popularity (not to mention its hilarity). The first season consisted of 10 episodes that ran from June to August, and today TV Land announced that the cast is getting back to work on the show for a second season that will have twice as many episodes! Good news, and even better that they won't make fans wait until the summer, either: the show's sophomore season premieres on January 19th. The same announcement at TV Land's official website for the show also reveals that Hot in Cleveland - Season 1 will be available on DVD (from TV Land owner MTV Networks and their retail distributor, Paramount Home Entertainment) on January 11th. Cost is $26.99 SRP for a 2-disc set with bonus materials. Those extras are detailed in this quoted paragraph from TV Land's announcement:
Season 1 will be available on DVD starting Jan. 11, just in time to relive all 10 hilarious episodes from the first season before the second kicks off. The two-disc set is loaded with uproarious bonus material including: the original full-length pilot, bloopers, wardrobe featurette, "We Love Our Age" featurette, a set tour, Victoria’s (Malick) full-length Japanese "Lady Pants" commercial and more. The Hot in Cleveland Season 1 DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $26.99.
As you can see, only a DVD version has been mentioned; there's nothing in there about a Blu-ray format release at this time. Package art isn't available yet, as MTV/Paramount hasn't made their formal announcement of this title to retailers. But stay tuned and we'll keep you updated once that comes through!
