The tale of rock band KISS and their efforts to thwart a diabolical plan by mad scientist Abner Devereaux. Devereaux has found a way to clone humans into robots in his laboratory at an amusement park. It just so happens that he plans to uses the KISS concert as a platform to unleash his plan on the world. KISS must use their special powers to stop him.

This film has a cult following but KISS (the original four) does not look too positively on it. Gene Simmons has mentioned interest in acquiring the rights to the film but said that it is too time consuming and costly.




To date the film has not been officially released to DVD. It was released on VHS sometime in the 1980s.

On the compilation DVD set Kissology Volume Two: 1978-1991 put out in 2007, the European version Attack of the Phantoms was included.

However, in 2005 an independent company illegally released the film to DVD briefly until KISS issued a cease-and-desist order against it.



Most of the bootleg DVDs of KISS Meets The Phantom of the Park that you come across are either taken from the original airing, the VHS, or the illegally released DVD.

Never saw it. Probably the way the guys in KISS prefer it!! :crazy: :lol:
