The CW has released further details about the debut of supervillainess Granny Goodness in an upcoming episode of Smallville.
According to CBR Christine Willes will make her first appearance as Goodness in the eighth episode of the show's final series.
'Abandoned' will see Clark and Tess encounter Goodness at an orphanage she runs, where they discover she is hiding a dark secret.
Goodness first appeared in the comics as a henchman of the major DC Universe villain Darkseid, often leading a group of brutal killers called the Female Furies.
A number of teaser images for the episode suggest that Goodness's Furies will also appear, as shown by the character of Harriet brandishing the Furies' trademark claws as she approaches Clark.
The instalment will also see Teri Hatcher make a guest appearance as the mother of Lois Lane.
