The Grammy Award-winning singer opened up during a candid interview with ABC News while promoting her new book True You, where she details her struggle with weight as a teenager.
"It's just talking about my routine, my workout regimen, my nutrition. I wanted to talk about it," Jackson said.
During the interview, the 44-year-old revealed that executives on the set of Good Times, a 1970s television series, strapped her chest.
"On our first day of shooting they bound my chest because they thought my breasts were too big," she said.
"I got the part when I was 10, we started shooting when I was 11 — I was developing early.
"It made me feel that the way that I am, it's not good enough."
