NEW YORK, N.Y. --
Charlie Sheen had another brush with the law early Tuesday morning, as this time, authorities were called to the actor’s hotel in New York City.

According to The New York Post – who first reported the news – police were called to The Plaza Hotel in New York, where the actor was found naked and allegedly intoxicated, a Post source claimed.

The source also said that the suite’s furniture had been thrown around the room, which prompted Plaza security to call police. The actor’s suite was reportedly “trashed” and the chandelier was damaged during the incident.

A separate source confirmed to Access Hollywood that Sheen was taken to a nearby hospital. According to the Post, it was due to “unspecified reasons.”

The paper went on to claim that the incident started after Sheen returned to his hotel with an unidentified woman and reportedly could not find his wallet. He then reportedly flew " into a rage.”

The 45-year-old actor is in New York with ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters, Sam, 6, and Lola, 5. Richards is in New York promoting her Spike TV comedy, “Blue Mountain State.”

Reps for Sheen and Richards were not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access.

Not to be mean, but how does one discern erratic behavior from Charlie's normal, every day behavior?

Why would he be with his ex-wife? Talk about awkward! Couldn't he go into a rage? (Oh, wait, he already did! )

It really seems to me that Charlie Sheen to get himself some serious help before he ends up dead. The heck with the sitcom. CBS should really reach out to Charlie and get him into a rehab facility.

Yes, but then they lose their cash cow. Haven't these producers learned ANYTHING since the death of Freddie Prinze? At least TPTB at One Day at a Time tried their best to help Mackenzie Phillips.

Unfortunately TV producers these days think of actors as products rather than people so don't expect them to show any compassion.

He's been messed up for years, the show is already making tons of dough in syndication and DVD sales, so why not call the whole thing a day??

Because in Hollywood they like to pump a well til it runs dry. As long as their still raking in the dough they'll keep making the show. They can never make "enough" money.

I read about Charlie's recent incident in the newspaper and he does have some issues and he needs help. But i wish the media would get off his back about dealing with escort service girls. A lot of guys deal with escort service girls and if i could afford to deal with them, i would hahahahahahahahahaha. I mess with prostitutes and i'm not ashamed to say i do. I can't get a girlfriend. So the only other option is when you want sex and you're horny, you're gonna get a prostitute LOL. Ain't nothing wrong with that. There are some men who can't get a girlfriend. So they choose to pay prostitutes and escort service girls for sex. I know that Charlie isn't the only male celebrity who deals with escort service girls. So the media needs to leave him alone about that.
